Jaw crusher crushing plates made of new HARDOX

Crushing plates for jaw crushers

Available for all brands and providers

Our crushing plates are custom-made to suit your specific material and application. Regardless of brand or manufacturer, we produce high-quality crushing plates from robust materials such as Hardox, stainless steel, hard metal, ceramic (zirconium oxide), or tungsten carbide.

By using particularly wear-resistant materials and optional protective plates, we achieve a significantly extended service life and maximum operational reliability. Our crusher jaws are designed to withstand even the toughest loads over the long term.

Frequently Asked Questions

The crushing plates in a jaw crusher are the two wear-resistant plates (one fixed and one movable) that crush the material to be crushed between them. The movable jaw is driven by an eccentric shaft, causing it to open and close periodically, crushing the material by pressure during the closing phase. The final particle size of the material can be precisely controlled by adjusting the gap between the jaws.

The choice of the right material depends heavily on the hardness, toughness, abrasiveness and compressive strength of the material being processed.
Manganese steels are primarily used. They typically contain 11 to 15% manganese and 0,8 to 1,25% carbon. Their unique property is that the surface work-hardens rapidly under impact, while the core remains tough and resistant to fracture. This makes manganese steels ideal for the dynamic conditions found in a jaw crusher.
